Snow…. So Much
Snow!
I can't believe in the blink of an eye that February is almost over! It's been such a busy month. With snow days, karate graduations, tumbling class and a school dance- just to name a few: here are some of our highlights in pictures.
Yellow belt!!! Amazing program offered in our little town.
Next, we'd like to share our little " Artist of the Month". The art teacher selects one student from the entire elementary school to highlight (k-6) and Tatti got picked!!! The picture is hung in the main office for a week.
Valentine's Day was also this month. We have always had Tatti's presents waiting for her when she woke up. She's still into "What does the fox say?". So, this little cutie from Michaels was a must! We've also had some "Sasquatch sightings" in our area... So Daddy and I thought this was too funny...
Tatti's sister's team won a basketball tournament. The last game was a nail biter to the very end.
Tatti started a new cheer tumbling class and loved it!! We can't wait to see all the tricks she can learn.
She gives the class two thumbs up!!
Tatti also had a school dance this month. How cute!!!
Everyone looked so fancy and had a great time!! This is how Tatti looked when she came home...
And.. All those tattos were the low price of $2.25. Ah, to be so young and carefree!!
Well, that's our February so far... there are a few days left.
Did you do anything special and fun in February? Let us know in the comments below!
We wanted to share our little bowling adventure with you. Our local bowling alley recently starting offering 50 cent games on a Sunday. How awesome is that? It's great in the winter to be able to get out of the house on the cheap. Here are some pics from our recent trip.
When we got there all the lanes but one were rented to a church group. When we got to the only open lane, one of Tatti's friends and Mommy's student was in it. So, we got to have even more fun.
It's good we had fun because as you can see: Daddy did better than Mommy, Tatti and Madi combined... Oh well! Family fun is better than winning...
We wanted to share this adorable eraser! They are on clearance at the Target dollar bins for 30 cents each. They are the perfect size for AG dolls- hurry! Our store only had 2 left...
We recently added the video
of our American Girl house living room to Youtube. Check it out!
Here is an overview of the living room. We decided to put a pass through to the kitchen in it. We used wall stickers from the Dollar Tree on the walls. We went with a brown, pink and green theme.
This fireplace and television came from a Journey Girls set from Toys R Us. The fireplace actually lights up. It's really cool! The DVD player is actually an old Barbie CD player. The flowers came from Good will and were 47 cents each.
The coffee table which came from the Journey Girls set has some fun accessories on it. The small maroon photo album came from Goodwill and was 50 cents. The camera came with a purse set from Target- Our Generation. The popcorn came with a Target-Our Generation sleepover set. The Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD came from Etsy. We purchased a movie gift basket with a DVD (of your choice), candy and popcorn. The Apples to Apples game is from American Girl. The details on this game are inpeccable. You could actually play the game (if you can read the cards!).
This side table and telephone came with an older set from Walmart. The candle is a Yankee candle chapstick. It's just the right size to be an American Girl candle. The small book is a real, hardcovered book. It was free. We made the tissue box from a printable. Then, we just cut up tissues and added them to the box. You can see a good view of the ledge of the pass through. An American Girl needs snacks when watching a movie... right?
This is a close up of the "china cabinet". We got the cabinet at Goodwill. It was $1.97. The shelves are filled with tea sets. The top tea set came from the Dollar Tree. The two colorful tea sets came with dolls. You can see a peek of how we recovered the chairs. They came with a teal plaid fabric. We purchased new fabric at JoAnn fabric. We used a glue gun to attach the fabric to the bottom of the cushion. You can see part of Coconut from American Girl in the corner. He is sitting on a striped chair that came with the set from Walmart.
These board games came from FYE. It's a mall music and movie store. They were on clearance and we purchased them all for under $3 each. They are actual games that you can play and come with some game pieces. They are keychains and we just remove the keychain part. I have also occasionally seen these games at Toys R Us.
Here is one last shot of the living room. What room do you want to see next? Let us know in the comments below.
How did we not know about
these? We must have been living under a rock... And we only managed to find 3! We love us some Loopsy and obviously we love the Wizard of Oz, so when the two get mashed together, count us in!!! Except, we only found 3... sad face. Keep reading to see which ones.
This is Tinny Ticker aka the Tin Man. She is just adorable. She's the first one we saw hanging on the display. We always love the details that are added to the La La Loopsy toys. These were also on sale at Target for $5.99 each! BONUS!! I love the little oil can with the heart on. Tatti thinks the tray of heart cookies look delish!
This is Kitty B. Brave aka the Cowardly Lion.. She is cute, but out of the three probably my least favorite. There isn't anything wrong with her. I wish the cape would be green like the movie, but I guess they wanted a matching color scheme.
The last one we found is Dotty Gale Winds aka Dorthy Gale. She is adorable!!! We LOVE her. Tatti loves Toto (the bows are too cute!!). I love the details. The basket, the Home Sweet Home sign, the lollipops- STOP!! You hit it out of the park on this one Loopsies!!
Here is a pic of all 3 together. They are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Scarecrow...
Do you have any of these? All of them? Tell us what you think. They are a nice addition to our La La Loopsy collection...
We are always on the hunt for cheap, adorable stuff we can use with our AG. I love to visit Dollar Tree stores! I am a teacher so I always find goodies for my classroom too. We were in another town and it's always fun to see what other Dollar Trees carry. We found some great stuff, so go check your Dollar Tree soon! Tatti is so excited to decorate the house with our new finds!
This is a little light up frog. It blinks and changes colors. It is adorable!! It will make a great "lamp" in someone's bedroom. The store also had a giraffe, but it was broken.. Waa, waa, waa. We will be checking another Dollar Tree to search for more!!
This mailbox is actually from the Target Dollar Spot. It is too cute!! These were put out for Valentine's Day. Hurry, go grab yours today. My Target was running low on them.
This lamp is from Dollar Tree. It's a solar powered lamp. We thought it was a great AG size! We put it in the house so you could get a better idea of its size.
How cute is this recycling bin??? It is on wheels and the lid opens and closes. This is the first time I've seen one at Dollar Tree. I was in with the school supplies and there were blue ones too.
Here is a picture with Ruthie so you can see the scale of the items with an AG. The recycling bin is small, but some recycling bins really are! The mailbox is also pretty small. It's more of a personal sized mailbox than one that would be located outside. We're thinking of either using it for Valentines or putting it on a stand and using it as an outside mailbox. What do you think? Any favorites??
